NECS Cleaning Ranks as North East’s 17th Fastest Growing Business
NECS Cleaning has been ranked by Ward Hadaway as the 17th fastest growing business in the region at the North East Fastest 50 Awards.
The prestigious Ward Hadaway North East Fastest 50 Awards, in association with The Journal, celebrate growth, innovation and the commercial achievements of North East businesses.
Based on financial data filed with Companies House, the list ranks the fifty best performing companies which have consistently increased turnover over the past three financial years, whilst remaining profitable.
NECS Cleaning was ranked 17th following continued high-standards of commercial cleaning and facilities management for offices, schools, healthcare facilities, construction sites, and more within the North East and beyond.
Damien Charlton, head of the commercial team at Ward Hadaway’s Newcastle office, said:
“Earning a place in the Fastest 50 is a significant achievement because it reflects sustained growth rather than the performance of a single year. Growing turnover while remaining profitable over three years takes good judgement, strong leadership and a clear understanding of where a business can make progress.
“Every company on this year’s list has its own story, but what they share is the ability to keep moving forward in conditions that are rarely straightforward. NECS has shown that it can turn ambition into consistent commercial growth, and its place in the 2026 Fastest 50 is thoroughly deserved.”
Gary Breach, Founder and Managing Director of NECS Cleaning, was delighted for the company to be ranked:
“It can’t be stated enough how incredible it is for the business to be featured in this prestigious list. Since day one, growth within our industry has always been on our minds, and receiving this ranking so close to our 20th anniversary truly shows what we’ve built.
“We want to say our sincerest thanks to our entire NECS team, who have worked tirelessly and are more than deserving of being recognised, and to Ward Hadaway for the inclusion of NECS Cleaning among these other fantastic local businesses. The future looks incredibly bright for the region, and we’re excited to continue delivering our high quality commercial cleaning services not just within the North East, but nationwide too.”
