How professional cleaning services can improve indoor air quality
Fatigue, irritated eyes, lapses in concentration… they have all been attributed to poor air quality in office buildings. This is not to mention the impact of poor indoor air quality on office workers’ overall health and wellbeing.
A YouGov survey commissioned by the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) reported that almost 70% of office workers believed that poor air quality in their offices was having a negative effect on their productivity and wellbeing.
And a study from the Harvard School Of Public Health revealed that staff working in well-ventilated offices with low pollutant levels had double the cognitive function of those in offices with average levels of exactly the same pollutants.
In 2022, a report from the UK’s Chief Medical Officer noted that as measures to reduce outdoor air pollution evolve, indoor air pollution was becoming a larger proportion of the air quality challenge… and that action was needed to protect public health.
So, improving and maintaining the air quality level in office environments is clearly of paramount importance for businesses.
