NECS supports local air cadets
It has been a privilege to donate £500 to 242 (Cramlington) Squadron Air Training Corps (Air Cadets) to help them achieve their goal of purchasing a minibus for their cadets.
The minibus will enable the squadron to facilitate off-base activities and provide transport to events throughout the year including Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, day walks and formal remembrance parades.
The Air Training Corps (Air Cadets) is open to all young people between 13-18 years of age with an interest in aviation. Training is given in flying, gliding, adventure training, marksmanship training, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and much more.
NECS is proud to support a number of local charities and organisations who share the same values. This particular organisation also has a personal connection with our Managing Director Gary Breach. He comments: “My son joined the squadron this year and I was also an air cadet when I was younger. I strongly believe in its values of respect, integrity, service and excellence and also the positive impact it makes and the opportunities it offers to the young people of Cramlington.
“We are delighted to play a small part in helping 242 Squadron and know the minibus will benefit not only their current cadets but also the cadets of the future.”
