NECS Recertified In 2020

It’s been that time again and we are very proud that NECS went through their annual audits with the SGS (General Society of Surveillance), one of the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification companies and our very own external accreditation body. We’re re-certified for all three standards ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 that we hold. Not only that, but we have successfully migrated from OHSAS 18001 to the new ISO 45001:2018 standard for health and safety, which covers our company for the next three years. We are proud of our continued commitment to these standards, and it gives our customers the peace of mind that they are dealing with a company that cares about the standards and quality of the work provided by our entire team.

ISO certification certifies that companies management system, manufacturing process, service, or documentation procedure has all the requirements for standardisation and quality assurance. ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation) is an independent, non-governmental organisation that develops standards to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of products, services, and systems within a company. ISO certifications exist in many areas of industry, from energy management and social responsibility to facilities management, medical devices and commercial cleaning. ISO standards are in place to provide consistency. Each certification has separate standards and criteria and is classified numerically. This means we are once again up to date and fully compliant with relevant Quality and Environmental factors and the latest ISO certifications, so you can be confident in NECS and our cleaning services, whatever your requirements.

NECS Recertified In 2020

ISO 9001 – Quality Standard

The ISO 9001 quality management certification was awarded to us as evidence that the NECS team can provide services that meet customer requirements consistently. As this is one of the world’s most widely recognised quality management standards, it outlines ways in which NECS have been able to achieve and demonstrate consistent performance and service.

ISO 14001 – Environmental Standard

As an internationally trusted standard, ISO 14001 outlines how to put an effective environmental management system in place. This, in turn, helps us provide our cleaning services to more and more customers across the UK, thanks to the standard being specially designed to help businesses remain commercially successful, without overlooking environmental responsibilities. The ISO 14001 accreditation provides the support and evidence that we need to continually meet the needs and expectations of those who require our services, allowing us to meet increasingly high customer expectations of corporate responsibility as well as legal or regulatory requirements.

Overall

As you may already know, ISO certification is seen as a significant step in demonstrating that a product will always meet the expectations of the customer, and meets specific safety criteria. In other words, it is a symbol of credibility that is not handed out every day, and we are happy to be re-certified to continue the work we do across the country, every day.

ISO 45001:2018 – Health & Safety Standard

Our successful migration from BS OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001:2018 is now complete. The migration of OHSAS into ISO reflects the needs and challenges of globalisation in today’s business world, and the health and safety standards globally. OHSAS was developed in England in 1999 but has been moved to be a part of ISO to address global standards more effectively. Recertification requires a complete audit of our current OHSAS system, so we felt it was the best time to transition and minimise the time needed to study the new standard. OHSAS 18001 and ISO 45001 share a common goal, to reduce workplace injuries, illnesses, and deaths.

The main difference between these two standards is how they work in approaching that outcome. Specifically, the new ISO 45001 standard focuses on a more holistic approach to safety risk management, one that is integrated into NECS’s core business processes. This standard is put together to set out the minimum requirements for occupational health and safety management practices. The standard helps ensure that the NECS team are safe at all times in whatever environment they are working in. With a broad range of services and a whole host of testimonials from many happy clients to prove our accreditations aren’t just for show, we have everything you need to meet your requirements and maintain a pleasant working environment.
